Designed for both new and existing concrete, WiseFlake delivers exceptional adhesion, superior substrate hide, and powerful bonding strength in a single-coat application. Its advanced formulation tolerates up to 9 lbs. of Moisture Vapor Emissions and adheres to both damp and dry concrete, making it a reliable choice for garage floors, workshops, and interior concrete surfaces. The extended open time ensures easy flake broadcasting, helping DIY installers achieve a seamless, high-end showroom-quality floor.
For maximum durability and warranty coverage, a full broadcast of flake (chips) is required. When installed as part of the complete system and sealed with a protective topcoat, WiseFlake creates a tough, long-lasting, impact-resistant floor coating designed to handle real-world garage use while delivering a bold, decorative finish that stands out. For alternative surface preparation methods, shot blasting, diamond grinding, or scarifying may also be used as needed.
WiseFlake Flake Floor Epoxy Resin is a high-performance, professional-grade epoxy base coat engineered specifically for DIY epoxy flake flooring systems. This slow-curing, high-solids, VOC-compliant, two-component formula provides extended working time, giving homeowners ample opportunity to broadcast decorative color flakes for a flawless, full-coverage finish.
1. Stir/premix Part-A resin and Part-B hardener separately for 30 seconds.
2. Pour Part-B hardener into Part-A bucket and mix the combined product for 60-90 seconds.
Apply when surface and ambient temperatures range between 55 F and 95 F and will remain that way for 24 hours.
1. Immediately after mixing, pour entire mixture onto concrete surface in a ribbon.
2. Using a squeegee or gauge rake, pull product over substrate.
3. Using a 3/8” nap, non-shedding, phenolic (plastic) core roller, roll coating forwards and backwards smoothing out roller lines over the work area.
4. Broadcast 100% flakes over epoxy and allow product to dry 1.5-2 hours. Applying in descending temperatures is recommended. Summer heat will accelerate the set time of epoxies and shorten your work time. Do not mix more than can be applied within 15 minutes. Without flakes, product may be re-coated within 2-4 hours. After 4 hours surface must be sanded and wiped clean with acetone.
Garage Floors with Flake Broadcast 200-250 sq. ft. per gallon at 8 mil

OSHA and the American Disabilities Act (ADA) have now set enforceable standards for slip resistance on pedestrian surfaces. The current coefficient of friction required by ADA is .6 on level surfaces and .8 on ramps. It is recommended that the use of angular slip-resistant aggregate in all coatings or flooring systems that may be exposed to wet, oily or greasy conditions. It is the contractor and end users’ responsibility to provide a flooring system that meets current safety standards. WideBond® or its sales agents will not be responsible for injury incurred in a slip and fall accident.
Use only with adequate ventilation. Appropriate cartridge-type respirator must be used during application in confined areas. Avoid contact with skin. Some individuals may be allergic to epoxy resin. Protective gloves and clothing are recommended.
